Terms and Conditions


All Horses, Cobs and Ponies sold via this website, ‘www.grovefarmcoloureds.com’ are privately owned and any potential purchaser must read the terms and conditions of sale as detailed below. These terms and conditions set out the ‘rules of sale’ and apply to all purchases. By not reading these terms and conditions does not means they do not apply.

The term ‘horse’ will be used in the following paragraphs to mean any of the following – Foal, Cob, Mare, Gelding, Stallion, Pony etc

Viewing

It is recommended that all horses are viewed prior to purchase. If a purchaser decides not to view a horse, but still proceeds with a purchase then these terms and conditions will still apply. The purchaser must satisfy themselves that the horse is what they want prior to any sale.

The purchaser may view their horse by prior arrangement with us. Any reasonable time / date is normally acceptable.

Veterinary Inspection

All horses are available for veterinary inspection prior to purchase and we do encourage prospective purchasers to fully satisfy themselves as to the health and well being of the horse. The cost of any inspection must be borne by the purchaser.

Deposit

A horse will be held on receipt of a 10% deposit of the final sale price. This deposit will be non-refundable.

Payment

The balance of the purchase price must be made prior to the horse being delivered or picked up. Any funds must be cleared prior to the horse being delivered or picked up.

In the event of the purchaser not paying the balance of the purchase price any deposit will be forfeit and the horse will be advertised and resold.

In the event of the purchaser not being contactable, by phone or e-mail, within 2 weeks of the horse becoming available, any deposit will be forfeit and the horse will be advertised and resold.

Availability Date

A date that the horse will become available for delivery / pick up will be agreed between the purchaser and us.

Insurance

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that any horse purchased is properly insured. This includes all liability for the horse once the final purchase price has been paid. This does include time prior to, and including, transportation.

Transportation

It will be the purchaser’s responsibility to arrange transport, including any insurance cover, for the delivery or pick up of the horse.

Delays in Delivery / Pick up

Unless otherwise agreed, any delay in the Delivery / Pick up of the horse which extends past the agreed availability date will be charged at £15 per day. Any shoeing or veterinary fees will also be charged at cost. Any outstanding monies must then be paid prior to the release of the horse.

Warranty

We offer no warranty whatsoever on any horses that we sell. It is up to the purchaser to satisfy themselves that the horse is what they want. This includes any veterinary inspections, trials, or third party viewings.

Passports

Any un-named horses must be named by the purchaser prior to passport application. The timescale for passport application must be agreed prior to final payment being made.

Horses will be registered with the breed society chosen by the purchaser unless the horse already holds a current passport.

All horses will come with a full passport and if requested flu and tetanus vaccinations which will be recorded within the passport.

Microchips can be included with the horse for an agreed extra fee.
